“Increased performance comes thanks to a Biturbo power conversion taking the figures from 555 to 750 hp and 910 Nm of torque. To deal with the increased power, a larger air cooler has been fitted and reinforced pistons and rods were also used. In addition, the X6 M cooler package and an additional oil cooler were installed. A new set o brakes were fitted as well: MOVIT units in sizes 396×34 millimeters with 6 piston fixed callipers at the front and 380×32 millimeter 4-piston callipers on the rear axle.”

Ok maybe not HUGE news but I use Yelp quite a bit. Keep up the good work BMW.

“While many cars have  navigation systems that have databases full of points of interest, BMW’s new  tech integration goes one step further by curating that list and actually making  recommendations. In the case of BMW Assist, drivers can search for businesses  (including restaurants) and also find their composite ratings (out of five  stars) from the Yelp community, as well as have the last three reviews read over  the stereo system.

This beautiful X5M is getting some proper treatment not only with some quality mods but with a quality detail.

All praise but she tells of what I was worried about.. still a slight bit of turbo lag.

Hopefully they’ll change to an electric turbo wich is said to have no lag whatsoever..

The well known California-based designers at Vorsteiner have released a new lineup of products for the X5M.

Items include

- A front bumper spoiler which makes the front look much more aggressive with strong angles.

- A rear diffuser with fins and great lips above the exhaust pipes themselves

- A vented hood with the very sexy “power dome”

Personally, I think this is Vorsteiner’s best looking hood produced to date.

Of course all products are made of the highest quality carbon fiber and craftsmanship.

In a recent video by a great reviewer (AutoSpies), the new F30 328i displayed some pretty neat things; one that has seen a lot of attention by reviewers and members is the new(ish) 8-speed transmission that can shift in 200ms. Remember, we blink at around 300-500ms.

I have had first had experience with this transmission in our 2011 X3 and it really is amazingly smooth and fast.

My beef with it is that it seems to upshift early and quickly with the following gears, and the last two gears are almost identical in fuel economy. Granted, our X3 is the smaller-engined 28i..
